How to choose
12 point is the size of most paperback text, capitals about 1/8 in tall. 15 point sits between paperback text and large print, capitals about 5/32 in; note that the Town by Town word lists are set small, at 10.8 point. 20 point is bigger than most books labelled large print, which are set at 16 to 18; capitals about 3/16 in. 25 point is for low vision, or for working without glasses: capitals a quarter inch tall.
Two sizes matter on every page: the puzzle letters you search, and the word list you read from. They aren't always the same size, so both are shown above.
Buying for someone else? Match the size of type they read comfortably now. When in doubt, go one size up: nobody has ever complained that a puzzle was too easy to see.
